Investigating causes of conflict among librarian in public libraries in province centers and its role in job satisfaction

Conflict management is essential in general management. Library managers are mostly unaware of conflict management and its related issues. Managers’ knowledge of conflict helps them find out the importance, characteristics, and the place of different conflicts and to identify the circumstances and causes of conflicts, and consequently control them.
The present research is of library type and the data gathering instrument is a questionnaire. The statistical population includes all librarians throughout the country. A sample of 100 was chosen based on Crochan’s formula.
The data analyzed using SPSS. There is a significant relationship between library organization and job satisfaction. There is also a significant relationship between the existence of conflict and job satisfaction. A significant relationship between library organization and job satisfaction among managers is also present. The existence of conflict is also correlated with job satisfaction among managers.
Importance: The phenomenon of conflict can have both positive and negative effects on personnel. Taking advantage of conflict improves actualization and job satisfaction. Considering cultural, social, political, and economic atmosphere in libraries, the present research tries to identify some causes of conflict and its effect on job satisfaction.
