Abstract:
Overcoming poverty in less developed regions has particular importance for their main programs. Governments try to undertake actions in order to respond to the primary needs and deficiencies of their country by recognizing them. In this regard, this research endeavors to explore the correlation between deprivation indices and provision of results.
Accordingly, a new hybrid approach towards using data mining tools and complex networks is presented that combines association of the rule mining technique and the structural concepts of complex networks. Firstly the hidden relations among the nine sub indices of deprivation are extracted using associated rule mining, and, after that, a new graph is constructed based on the extracted rules and analyzed to find the most effective and affected indices.
The obtained results can be used in decision making in overcoming deprivation and for better funding of deprivation strategies in deprived areas.
