Message:
Abstract:
Bazaar as a pillar of Iranian society had an influential role in the past history of this country. It has been so, not only because it was the base of social –economic structure of that society but also for its close relation with religious centers and institutions. During the second Pahlavi era, traditional Bazaar, in an institutional and historical alliance with Shiite celergies, tried to limit the power of government and not let it to control and encroach the society. Therefore, it (Bazaar) participated in all social-political demonstration against the despotic government, as we can name the bazaar and clergies as the two axial pillars if iranian traditional society. In contrary, the government by decreasing the economic role of bazzar in society, tried to weaken its role, control and associated it with the government. This article while reviewing the second pahlavi developments, will analyze the role of bazzaar in these developments and its relation with kind Mohammad Reza.
