Modeling the role of university and industry in technology transfer in the intellectual property rights area using a system dynamics approach

Abstract:
The importance of technology as a major factor affecting engine of economic developmentin in the today Technology transfer from university to industry is one of the most effective channels for development of technology. In Iran, despite the attempts, it seems that this process has not been conducted properly yet. By knowing the effective factors on success or failure of technology transfer from universities to industry, it is possible to make more reasonable and precise decisions.
In this paper, after investigation, by use of fuzzy Dematel technique and system dynamic modeling approach and CLD plotting, the effective variables on technology transfer are identified and finally a conceptual model representing the factors and mechanisms was designed and presented. The results show the effective relationship between universities and industries could facilitate the technology transfer
