Strategic Role of the Supreme Leader in Managing the Events of Presidential Election in 2009

The election field is one of the channels being considered by the enemies of Islamic system of Iran to confront with an Islamic Republic and by recognizing the conditions of each period a special scenario they have intended to achieve their purposes. In this regard, presidential election in 2009 has been one of the most important political events of the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran that the domestic and foreign opponents were pretty determined to defeat the system and to realize their thirty-year-old dream. Explaining the procedure of the opponents’ actions before and after the elections, the paper intends to prove this hypothesis that despite of the difficulties and problems created by these actions and events, under the leadership and measures of the leader of the Revolution and his wise strategies, the Islamic system could overcome these hardships against enemies and opponents of the country.
