Socio_demographic Status of Addicted Women Living in the Addiction Camp

Abstract:
Addiction is a social phenomenon, thus identify demographic situation affecting it can be helpful to solve this global problem. The aim of this study was to investigate socio-demographic status of women is an Isfahan drug clinic. The research design is descriptive. The population of the study was in drug clinic for addicts women residing in Isfahan in 2014, in which 100 subjects were chosen by random sampling, from among 300 participants. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. Coding and classification of data were done through computer statistical packages such as Spss. The data indicate that variables of family relationships, companionship with addicts and failing in personal life, have significant relationship with substance dependence of women. On the other hand, the intensity of correlation between family ties and the dependence of women on drug is stronger than other factors. The relationship of Addiction with social is a bilateral relation. On the one hand societys addiction leads to stagnation and decline and on the other hand it is a phenomenon rooted in social, economic and cultural issues. Living in a healthier environment decreases the risk of deviant behaviors.
