Abstract:
One of the basic predicaments in many organizations and institutions is lack of sufficient information about the peoples’ knowledge and wisdom. By concentrating on the solutions which involve the whole organization, including the human force and technology, effective management of knowledge is one of the most important tools to solve this problem. In order to design or promote a management knowledge system in an organization, it is first necessary to completely realize the nature and importance of knowledge and knowledge management. Then, through realization of its standards and applications, particular attention has to be paid to its success grounds and the method of creating a balance and coordination between these factors for the purpose of achieving strategic benefits from implementing management knowledge. Various models have been proposed for knowledge management by specialists. The present paper studies the challenges and obstacles in the knowledge management system in Shahid Samadi Research Center. For this purpose, two questionnaires followed the literature review. A Nanoka model was chosen and divided into eight sections. Then, for each of the sections parameters that possibly contributed to the promotion of its knowledge level was formed and finally the parameters and alternatives were developed into the questionnaire. After that, the questionnaires were distributed between the personnel who were asked to make statements about the effect of the questions in the knowledge promotion in the Center. Following that, the most important international researches and studies on the knowledge strategy were surveyed in order to design or select a suitable model to knowledge strategy formation in the Center. Afterwards the background and features of the subject in the Center were studied via questionnaires and deep interviews. The results of the research indicate that, although the managers are relatively aware of the importance of knowledge management, none of the sections have a formulated knowledge strategy. In addition, the results of the research show that the model proposed by Zack is a suitable knowledge model for the Center.
