The Relationship between Religiosity and Hope to the Future among Students of Yazd University

The present research aims at investigating the relationship between religiosity and hope to the future among students of Yazd University.
The used method in this study was descriptive of correlation kind. The statisticall population of the research included Yazd University students in the academic year 93-94, who 374 people of them were selected and studied through stratified random sampling method. Hope to the future Snyder’s test and religiosity test made of researcher on the basis of Gluck and Stark pattern were used as a research tool.
The results showed a positive and significant relationship between religiosity students and their hope to the future. Also, there was a significant positive relationship between the belief, emotional, and intellectual dimensions with hope to the future, but there wasn’t a significant relationship between the ritual dimensions with hope to the future.
Religiosity plays an important role in increasing the hope to the future among students.
