Investigation The Effect of Dynamic Capabilities On Creating Competitive Advantage(Case study: Tehran construction companies)

Today, one of the challenges facing most businesses regardless of size, age or type of industry, is how to gain and maintain competitive advantage. Gaining competitive advantage in today's complex and dynamic businesses is important. Because of the dynamic nature of the construction industry and high rates of changes in the operational and structural environment, and application of technologies, the need of construction companies to have dynamic capabilities in order to achieve competitive advantage is inevitable. In this article we have tried to frame the operational concept of dynamic capabilities, provided by Madsen, in four dimensions (external observation and evaluation, internal resources renewal, external resources acquisition and internal resources reconfigure) to present the conceptual model of The most impressive dynamic capabilities providing competitive advantage in construction companies. Research models using data collected from 97 construction companies in the PLS software were analyzed. The results based on the structural equation modeling method reveals that dynamic capabilities in three dimensions including; internal resources renewal, external resources acquisition and internal resources re-configuration have positive impact on competitive advantage.
