Effectedness of Iran Economic Growth from Resistive Economy Indicators: Perspective of Japan and South Korea Development Strategies

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between resistant economy indicators with Iran economic growth in the period 1971 to 2011. In this study the variable GDP (excluding oil) as the dependent variable and the variables non-oil exports, tourism, entrepreneurship, imports (intermediate, capital, consumer goods), income distribution, investment in infrastructure (transport and communications), self-sufficiency in agriculture, labor productivity, knowledge based economy, capital efficiency, destruction of natural resources, and consumptive economy were used as explanatory variables. Using econometric method of autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL), two economic and non-economic growth models with economic and non-economic explanatory variables are estimated. Model tests were carried out in three steps: dynamic analysis, long-term analysis, and errors correction test (ECM). Stability test of the models was done using CUSUM and CUSUMQ methods. The results showed that with the exception of the consumptive economy, the destruction of natural resources, imports of consumer and capital goods that are negatively correlated with economic growth, other variables have positive and significant relation with economic growth.
