Evaluating Supply Network Efficiency by Using Social Networks Analysis (Case Study: Tractor Motor Manufacturing Company)

Abstract:
The Supply network Viewpoint obliges the companies to expand the Scope and network of their business activities that need management. The complexity of these activities has increased with the globalization of the networks and the geographical diversity of the participants and customers , so their management has become more difficult . During the past years numerous researches have acknowledged the inefficiency of the previous methods in studying the complexity of supply chain as well as their inability in identifying the presence of suppliers on various layers of supply network and have emphasized the necessity of using social networks analysis in studying the complexity of supply chain . The present article has surveyed the supply network of Tractor Motor Manufacturing company by using social networks analysis method and has come to the conclusion that this network contains several structural ruptures , that Motor Manufacturing company possesses a high level of bargaining against suppliers , and that the network has a low innovative power.
