Introduction and
Purpose
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between nursing student's communication skills with Perceived quality of care by elderly patients.
Materials And Methods
In this study, 95 female students studying in the field of nursing (52, 25 years old and 43, More than 26 years old), who is serving his internship in hospitals in Rasht Were selected by convenience sampling. Data were collected using Queendom Communication Skills Inventory (2004) and Irurita Quality Patient Care Scale (1999). Then data were analyzed with t test to compare independent samples and Pearson correlation (with software SPSS-16).
Findings: Results showed that the older students and younger students in terms of communication skills are different and the difference was statistically significant (P
Conclusion
Given that there is relationship between nursing student's communication skills with Perceived quality of care by elderly patients, it is recommended that to be defined upgrading courses and workshops for nursing students.
