The Persuasive Techniques in NahjulBalagha

In today's world, the persuasive communications form an important part of communications and different theories have been established about and different methods have been propounded and applied to persuade addressees. The birth of these methods has mostly occurred in the secular West. Therefore, in
the orizing and applying these methods, it has not been paid a
careful attention to the ethical principles and religious virtues. Divine religions are of the most successful samples and examples in using persuasive methods to invite and spread their principles and teachings. With considering the religious societies, specifically Islamic countries and the religious- centered media require the religious type to apply and use the persuasive methods and theories. It is necessary for researchers and scholars in this area to consult the religious texts and sources to explore and study them. NahjulBalagha as the most precious writing for propagating and the second most important book after the holy Quran has a special position for this case. This research has attempted with analytic- descriptive method to study and explore the verbal and non-verbal methods for persuading addressees in NahjulBalagha. It is revealed that for persuading addressees, Imam Ali (p.b.u.h) has ingeniously used both the verbal persuasive channel of cases hikmat (wisdom), the best dialectic, experience, adducing the authentic sources, preaching, occult assertions and also non-verbal channel of cases body language, the practical manner, voice language and miracle.
