The Role of the Islamic Weltanschauung in Urbanization

With copying urban planning in Islam world, many of physical structures and due to it, the social and cultural relationship in Islamic community was changed while over time the Islamic ordinances (ahkam) simply and gradually were fittedand
harmonized with the human views so that it is able to purify human souls and made it evolve and advance .This evolution emerged in establishing Islamic cities since cities are equal to civilization. This paper tries to study the feature of the Islamic city from the point of the holy Quran and from the social, cultural, economic, political, and physical and architecture dimensions. The outcome is if today Muslim's cities are equal (same) to Islamic cities. The research method is analytic- descriptive and the necessary information has been gathered with documentary method and library studies.
