Predicting Life Orientation with Regard to the Belief in a Just World among Female Students of University of Sistan and Baluchestan

Abstract:
Introduction
The present study was conducted with the aim of predicting life orientation considering the belief in a just world among female students of University of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Method
In this descriptive-correlational study, 368 female students of University of Sistan and Baluchestan were selected using cluster sampling method. To collect data, Beliefs in a Just World Scale (BJWS) and Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) were applied. To analyze the obtained data, the Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis were used.

The obtained results indicated that optimism (a dimension of life orientation) was significantly and positively correlated with beliefs in a just world for self (P
Conclusion
Overall, the results of the current study showed that beliefs in a just world for selfwas significantly and positively correlated with optimism and was a predictor of optimism among university students.
