Identifying and Analyzing Contextual Barriers of Organizational Entrepreneurship in Ministry of Sport and Youth

This study aimed at identifying and analyzing contextual barriers of organizational entrepreneurship in the Islamic Republic of Iran Ministry of Sport and Youth. This study was applied in terms of goals, descriptive with regard to strategy. The method was survey conducted by mixed method (qualitative-quantitative). After reviewing the literature, experts had deep interviews by qualitative method. Then, a researcher-made questionnaire (reliability coefficient=0.951) was distributed among experts of Ministry of Sport and Youth as the sample of the study. For data analysis, Friedman test, Spearman correlation coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis were used by PLS approach. In order to achieve the study aims, the most important environmental barriers of each of the 5 outlined aspects were identified and analyzed to determine their relative priority. The results showed that political-legal barriers, economic barriers, cultural-social barriers, technological barriers and international barriers had significant and negative effects on organizational entrepreneurship in Ministry of Sport and Youth. From the viewpoints of qualitative and quantitative sample of the study, cultural-social barriers and international barriers were respectively the most important environmental barriers to organizational entrepreneurship in Ministry of Sport and Youth. Finally, in addition to discussion and conclusion, some recommendations were presented for future research.
