The Study on Relationship between Students of Attitudes towards Globalization and Lifestyle (Case Study: Students of Shahid Chamran University)

Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between student's attitudes toward globalization (social, political, economic and cultural attitudes) and life style. In this study by considering the population 16409 students who were studying in the first semester of 2014 in Shahid Chamran University, 377 participants through stratified sampling fit to the population and by simple random sampling method, were chosen. The method used in this paper is “survey research” and a questionnaire was used to collect data that Cronbach's alpha in lifestyle questionnaires was assessed as 0.91 and 0.81 in globalization questionnaire. The theoretical framework of this research is a compilation of Giddens and Bourdieu's theories. After analyzing the data using SPSS software, a direct significant relationship between social and economical attitudes of students towards globalization and lifestyle on one hand and a reversed significant relationship political and cultural and globalization and life style on the other hand was found.
