Abstract:
Economic behaviors are among the main issues in economy, especially Islamic economy. In this context, one of the weaknesses of the Islamic economics is the scarcity of experimental study on Muslim's behaviors. This paper has done an experimental study to estimate the effect of religious social capital on Qartholhasan payment behavior at the micro level using resource generator tool along with income, age and property. The data were collected through survey and questionnaires and analyzed by econometric method. The survey population was the households in the city of Zahedan and the sampling consisted of 504 heads of households in the community. The results show that religious capital, property, income, bank deposits and received interest have a significant effect on Qardholhasan payment. Also, the household size and education have meaningful effect on that. Innovations of this paper are the empirically testing at micro-level of the Islamic doctrine, entering the religious capital based on recognized scientific tools in the survey, along with other variables that influence economic behavior.
