Study Ofnano-Composite Conductivity PPY/MMT Using The Oxidizing Properties of the Substance, of The MMT and pyrroleusing XRD Observations

Abstract:
Enzyme catalyzed polymerization which was conducted photochemicaly was studied. The effect of pyrrole and oxidant (Fecl3) concentrations, MMT percent and temperature increasing on the conductivity of the PPY/MMT nano-composites was investigated. By polymerization of pyrrole in the presence of Fecl3 and clay in aqueous medium, nano composites of PPY/MMT successfully was synthesized. The conductivity of nano-composites PPY/MMT at different concentrations of Fecl3 (0.1M to 0.4M) increased from0.45 to2.25s/cm. But the conductivity of the nano-composites decreases by the percentage of MMT (25/2 to38/0 s / cm). As while, the conductivity increases with increasing concentration of pyrrole. Preparation of PPY / MMT nano-composites in lower temperatures (about 5° C) and room temperature (25 ° C) was increased the conductivity. The optimum level for the nanocomposites is at 90℃. The XRD analysis demonstrated that the nanocomposite prepared at lower temperatures have similar peak with 25 ℃, respectively. Incorporation of polypyrrole in the MMT interlayer space, also occur at low temperatures. Based on these findings, 6hours is the best time for the polymerization of polypyrrole in aqueous media. During 3hours (41/0 S/cm) to 6hours (25/2 S/cm) of the preparation time, the conductivity increases rapidly. But further increase up to 9 hours (45/0 S/cm) and 24 hour((15/0 S/cm), gradually decrease the conductivity.
