Effects of temperature and moisture content on some mechanical characteristics of soybeans Under Quasi-static Loading

In this study, the effect of moisture content (10, 12 and 14% d.b) and temperature (20, 40 and 60 °C) on some mechanical characteristics including maximum deformation, failure strain, failure resistance, rupture energy, toughness and apparent modulus of elasticity was investigated for three soybean cultivars (M7, L17 and BP). The results showed that the maximum deformation, failure strain, rupture energy and toughness increased and the failure resistance and the apparent modulus of elasticity decreased with increasing moisture content.
