The Analysis of the Semantics of Imamate in the Interpretation School of Allameh Tabatabaei

Abstract:
The principle of “Imamate” is the most fundamental principle of Shiite religion that is analyzed in several aspects. In this regard¡ Allameh Tabatabaei has an analysis based on Sadra’s transcendental metaphysics and has revealed it in an innovative way at the Holy Qur’an’s realm. Among the fundamentals of the metaphysics¡ the most proximate one is the issue of acceptance of the celestial world and the spiritual aspect of things against the material world and the creational aspect of things. Based on this principle and analysis¡ Imamate does not mean only the absolute guidance¡ rather it refers to a guidance which happens according to the Divine Command; a Command which the Holy Qur’an refers to it as the “spiritual world” and it is another aspect of the creation which is the aspect of human facing the Glorified God pure from the constraints of time and space and free from any change and transformation. Imam is a director who guides people by knowing the spiritual world. This paper has placed the basis of metaphysics in the two aspects of “implicit” and “inferential” next to this analysis of the Imamate and has revealed this fundamental fact of the Holy Qur’an in a logical movement and analytical processing.
