The Amount of Seeds and Fruits Harvesting in the Central Zagros Forests Case Study: Sardasht Customary Region in Lordegan Township

Forests addition to the production of wood products, non-wood tradable goods needed humans be produce. Residents of nearby villages and nomadic from the distant past from the fields of Natural Resources, particularly forests was exploitation. The type and amount of exploits in disparate regions is different according to environmental conditions, facilities and culture of people. In this study, the amount of seeds and fruits harvest in the forest areas in Sardasht Lordegan Township be analyzed. The approach that used in this research is descriptive and quantitative analysis using semi-structured interviews. In this regard, a questionnaire with propositions which include the provision, use, sale and income from harvesting the seeds and forest fruits, was used. The results showed annual 14/40 kg of seed and forest fruits include: Quercus L, Pistacia mutica, Pistacia khinjuk, Crataegus melanocarpa and Berberis by forest dwellers are using that impression each of them respectively is, 31/44, 3/03, 1/57, 1/53 and 1/14 kg. 12/61 percent of this amount harvested was sold that have little income (38 hezar riyals annually per household) for the villagers. Harvesting seeds and forest fruits in this area affected by occupation, education, residence condition and the number of livestock.
