Effectiveness of Music Therapy intervention on general health of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) veterans

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to investigation the effectiveness of Music Therapy intervention on general health of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) veterans. Design of this research is semi-experimental pre-test post-test with control group. This research was based on a quasi-experimental design with pre-test, post-test and control group respectively. The population also included Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) veterans Isfahan in 2013. In order to perform this study 60 of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) veterans who were available selected (each group consisting 30). General Health Questionnaire-28 (Goldberg, 1972) was used to gather the data. Data were analyzed by using Spss software version 21. Data were analyzed using ANCOVA analysis. Music Therapy intervention was trained for 12 weeks on the experimental group and the control group did not have any intervention. The results showed that Music Therapy intervention had a significant effect on general health in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) veterans in post test)P
