An Analysis of the Concept of Power in Ayatollah Mirza Shirazi's Political Thought

Mirza Mohammed Hassan Husseini Shirazi is one of the prominent Muslim scholars whose views consider to be very effective in formation of contemporary Islamic Political Thought. Due to his practical role and involvement in Political affairs his role is of a great influence in this regard. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with his political thought. Although there is no specific work or theory attributed to his political though, yet according to what he left behind in form of decrees, fatwas, notes and letters one can talk about a semi-theory as far as his political views are concerned. The article argues that responding to cultural and political influence by foreign powers, guaranteeing the survival of Islamic Entity, and finding a proper system for rebuilding the society are the main components of his views.
