An assessment and ranking the effective factors on Mass Rescue Operation

A mass rescue operation is one that involves in a need for immediate assistance to large numbers of persons in distress such that capabilities normally available to SAR authorities are inadequate. Nowadays, with due attention to the growth of vessels and aircraft traffic in the world followed by maritime accidents, Mass Rescue Operation is one of the most important operations for international Organizations. Obviously poor preparation for the implementation of this operation causes loss of life to many people. In order to do the right operation and take action for the purpose of salvation of maximum life of people in distress should at first effective factors being known. To this extent, effective factors for doing the right maritime salvation operations in mass scale are being specified by means of questionnaire that 218 of Iranian experts and mariners whom chosen randomly fill them. Reliability of questionnaire is distinguished from Cronbach's Alpha. Then with using the binomial and Friedman test confirmation and ranking is achieved. In this research show that between effective factors, factors such as having up to date equipment, promptitude of people in gage in the rescue operation, the speed of announcing related to occurring accident, using helicopter rapid, right alternation of information and ultimately how management the operation have more importance rather than other factors.
