An Investigation of the Effect of the Quality of Citations on the Scientific Productions of the Distinguished Authors based on the Relative Citation and the Format of Publications in the Web of Science during 2000-2009

Introduction
The goal of this research is to investigate the effect of the quality of the citations on the scientific production of distinguished authors based on the relative citation and the format of publications in the web of science during 2000-2009.Methodology
This study was carried out using a citation analysis approach to examine the effect of the citations quality on the scientific production of the distinguished authors in different subject fields, relative citation rate, and relative sub-field impact rate.FINDINGS:Citations have an important role in assessing scientific publications, journals, and researchers. Thus, in rankings, citations should come along with scientific production indicators. If the results are more than 1(>1), the citations for scientific production of distinguished authors can affect the field level as well as the set of authors journals. The findings of this investigation showed that the quality of citations effect on the publications of distinguished authors based on the format of publications in clinical medicine, commerce, and business had a relative subfield impact of more than 1. In all subject fields except space science, the relative subfield impact rates were more than 1.
Conclusions
The findings of this investigation showed that the quality of citations on the publications of distinguished authors based on the format of publications in clinical medicine, commerce, and business had relative subfield impact of more than 1. In all subject fields except space science, the relative subfield impact rates were more than 1, thus, the citation for scientific production of distinguished authors can impact the field level and the set of authors journals.Keywords:
