The Relationship between Knowledge Management and Emotional Intelligence with Quality of Work Life (Case Study of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy Staff)

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between knowledge management and emotional intelligence with quality of work life. The research method was descriptive in terms of information collecting method and correlation type in terms of applied purpose. The statistical population of the study consisted of 624 staff members of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy. The sample size according to Morgan's table was estimated at 234 people and this number was selected by simple random sampling from the statistical population. The instruments for data collection were three standard questionnaires in the five-value Likert scale with Walton Work Quality Questionnaire (1973) with a reliability coefficient of 0.86, Bradbury and Graves (2005) with a reliability coefficient of 0.82 and knowledge management questionnaire Shron Lawson (2004) with a reliability coefficient of 0.88. Collected data was analyzed by SPSS-22 software using K-S and multiple regression tests. The results showed that 1- there was a significant relationship between knowledge management and quality of work life and knowledge management and 67.1% of the changes in quality of work life was through the dimensions of knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge organization, knowledge acquisition, knowledge application and publishing knowledge. 2- There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and quality of work life. Emotional intelligence explains 61.7% of changes in quality of work life through dimensions of self-management, self-awareness, relationship management, social consciousness.
