Examining effective techniques on improvement of shooting skills among students at Amin Police Sciences University

Message:
Abstract:
This research was aimed atexamining effective techniques on improvement of shooting skills among students at Amin Police Sciences University. In this regard, five main techniques including, shot optimal point, containment technique, concentration and releasing of the trigger, identification and the degree to which they affect shooting skill were investigated. The current research is applied in terms of nature and methodologically, it is a semi-experimental one. The administration method is as follows: first, a pretest is given to a 32 people group and then, specified techniques will be taught to them during a month and thereafter, a posttestwill beadministered to them and the resulting findings are going to be analyzed. Tools for practices gathering data consisted of shooting score cards and all the trainings were done by the researchers and two relevant tests were also administered by three officers at the shooting field. While analyzing data, Pearson CorrelationCoefficient Test, Multiple regression, ANOVA Test, Tukey's follow-up tests as well as LSD were applied, such that these tests were performed by using SPSS software and conceptual models were designed by EQS software. . Findings indicate that from among the six techniques under study, five techniques of shot optimal point, guncontainment skill, concentration and releasing of the trigger and physical fitness have positive effects on the improvement of shooting skill, and only the constant physical technique leaves no effect on shooting skill. Of the five effective techniques, Beta coefficient level of the releasing of trigger was higher than the rest and the degree to which the technique of concentration was effective on the skill held the least effects. Also one of the most important cases in improving shooting skills is physical fitness. Results indicate that via training these techniques, one can increase student's shooting scores quite considerably in a short time interval, because the mean studentsshooting score in the pretest was 22.18 out of 100, where this score rose to 61.31 in the posttest. Also, training thesetechniques must be performed in a form combined of theoreticaland practical trainings. It is recommended that such varied manners as stringent practice, shooting simulations and combinational be used. Another main point is to observe arrangement and sequence of the techniques; since if arrangement and sequence of the quality of trainings is done in line with executiveguidelines, maxim results will be accomplished in the end.
