Differentiating of the Self, Family of Origin Functioning and Attachment to God in Sample of Iranian Students with and without Failure in Love

Abstract:
The aim of present study was to compare original family function, differentiation of self and attachment to God in students with or without love failure. The present study design is an Ex post facto research. The population of this study included all Ardabil university students which one-hundred without love failure (50 female, 50 male) and one-hundred with love failure (50 female, 50 male) were selected by purposive sampling method. For collecting the data, love failure scale, family assessment device, self-differentiation and attachment to God questionnaires were utilized. After gathering, the data were analyzed with SPSS. Results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that among seven subscales of original family function, there are significant differences between students with and without in communication, affective involvement, family role, and problem solving. Also the results showed that there are significant differences between all of the subscales of differentiation of self and attachment to God in students with and without love failure.
