Conceptual Changes in Planning in Thoughts of Russell L. Ackoff

Russell L. Ackoff was theorist in the field of management and systems theory, and has several and valuable compilations in this scope. The object of this essay is studying conceptual changes of planning in his thoughts by comparative study of his two important books, namely Creating the corporate future and Re-creating the Corporation, and eventually extraction ideas to apply in university development planning. Research methodology used in this research is comparative study method, George ZF. Beredy and Le Thanh Khoi models. Finding revealed that unlike the Creating the corporate future, by increasing communication and interactions among individuals and institutions, in Re-creating the Corporation emphasized on ethics role at democratization of organizations, sustaining environment and leadership of aesthetics as the main aspect of development. Also, for effectiveness of the organization's decisions, understanding and wisdom have been necessitated in addition to data and information.
