Abstract:
The philosophical explanation of bodily resurrection, as a necessary belief in the quran and tradition, is one of the important problem for Muslim philosophers. Mulla sadra is the most prominent philosopher who made a broad and deep effort to prove the bodily resurrection in a philosophical way. He claimed that he has explained the formation and survival of the soul by some of his philosophical principles such as substantial motion, and principality, gradation and intensity of existence, and thus has analyzed the relevant quranic and traditional evidence rationally. This article will shows that Mulla sadra has been able to give a rational explanation of bodily resurrection, but it is not fully compatible with quranic resurrection.
