Identification and Classification of the Chief Actors of Future Possible Ground Wars in the East and South-East Regions of I.R. of Iran

One of the future wars features is the multiplicity of actors and military forces involved in the war. An actor is a group, party or country that can affect the aims of an organization or another country; therefore, the actors of the future war are activists who take part directly or indirectly in the future war against Iran. Actor analysis is a set of methods that can systematically identify and analyze actors of collaborative and social activities, and organizing consultative workshops with homogeneous groups and interviewing experts are actor analysis methods that have been used. Thus, this applied research has been conducted according to the existing trends with a qualitative approach and an aim of identifying and categorizing the chief actors, determining their role and their internal and external relations in the possible future controversy and ground war in the East and South East regions of the country. The key actors are classified into five groups: Intervening and rival powers, transnational, sub-national, and separatist aggressive anti-system groups. Then, the role of the actors and the relationship between them were determined.
