Investigation Impact of IT on Labor Productivity and Capital on Companies Listed in Tehran Stock Exchange

It seems that investment in Information Technology (IT) will lead to increase in organization competition. This is the reason for attraction of financial resources by the IT in the current business world. In this paper, thus, we are examining the relationship between investment in IT and both labor and capital productivity among registered companies in Tehran Stock Exchange market in 2007. To do this, a random sample of 86 companies was chosen, among which their financial data documents were available. Employing these data and using SPSS software the necessary data were computed. The extracted data, then, were employed to estimate parameters using econometrics approach i.e. OLS in 5 percent error level. The results reveal that while investment in IT in Tehran Stock Exchange Market has a negative relationship with labor productivity, it has a positive relationship with capital productivity.
