Relationship between academic optimism and academic self-efficacy with academic engagement in students

The Purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic optimism and academic Self-Efficacy with academic engagement in piranha Islamic Azad University students in the academic year of 1395-96. The research method was correlation. The statistical population of the study consisted of students of piranshar Islamic Azad University. 299 (157 boys and 142 girls) were randomly selected using a multi-stage cluster sampling method. To calculate the sample size' the Cochran formula used. Data were collected through a questionnaire of academic engagement, academic optimism questionnaire and academic self- efficacy questionnaire. The variables of academic optimism and academic self-efficacy (predictive variables) were used to predict academic engagement (criterion variable). Multiple stepwise regression tests were used.
