Germany - Iran Cultural Relations and its Impacts on Iranian intellectual Movements, (1871-1918)

Abstract:
Cultural diplomacy is a type of public diplomacy that is employed by different governments to foster mutual understanding and support among the ordinary people of other societies, rather than their official governments; among different types of modern diplomacy, including public diplomacy, media diplomacy, and educational diplomacy, cultural diplomacy is of unique importance. During Qajar dynasty rule in Iran, the government of Germany, having a clear understanding of international systems order under two powerful states of Russia and Great Britain and also the influence of cultural diplomacy, started consistent and expansive cultural activities in many different countries including Iran .
