Abstract:
Introduction
The aim of this study was to investigate and analyze the performance of 13 hospitals in Semnan province using data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique.Materials And Methods
In this research, dynamic linear programming was used to measure the performance of units under the supervision of medical sciences, including hospitals and health centers. For evaluating the performance of hospitals in Semnan province, input and output indices of each hospital, their values in the center and the information of each hospital were available. GAMs software was also used to solve the dynamic model obtained in this paper. Results
By solving mathematical models for each hospital, the efficiency of the hospitals has been achieved, and then the efficient and inefficient units have been identified. If each hospital was inadequate, a suitable model was given to the hospital. Finally, a ranking methodology was used to distinguish between efficient hospitals. Hospitals 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 12 and 13 were known as efficient units for the whole of these three years, and hospitals 1, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 11 were known as inefficient units. Conclusion
With the implementation of this research, it is possible to introduce the functional models to the top managers of the health sector, providing more accurate planning for the development of capacity for health services and saving resources. Keywords:
