Meaningful symbols in Islamic Republic of Iran, using Geerts approach, emphasis on Ashura

Abstract:
Culture is made by exchanging meanings and concepts among people, using words and signs, and makes social life. As a matter of fact, culture, is exchanging created meanings in society, by signs (symbols, slogans, patterns, icons, proverbs, body language, and so on). Therefore, symbols and signs that was created during process of Islamic revolution combats by people, and many of them are resided, and preserved their meaning and role in Islamic Republic, are considered as a part of language and culture, that not only show wishes and believes of revolutionary nation, but also people communicate together through them, and cause meaningful understanding and social solidarity. Meanwhile, effect of symbols and signs and meaning system of Ashura, is one of the most effective and deepest layers, forming Islamic Revolution of Iran, which has contributed in the most important cultural areas in Islamic Republic of Iran. The way of producing symbols during Islamic revolution and their role, to advance goals of Islamic Republic of Iran, using Geerts interpretive approach, has been surveyed in this article.
