The Relationship among Narsissism, Self-esteem, and Job Satisfaction with Respect to the Mediating Role of Citizenship Behavior of of Golestan University Staff

Abstract:
What has been of importance for psychologists and sociologist is job satisfaction and its effect on morality and productivity, so the chief goal of the present study is to shed light on the relationship among narcissism, self-esteem, and job satisfaction of Golestan university staff with respect to the mediating role of citizenship behavior. Research method is survey- descriptive and of correlational type. The population were all 120 employees of Golestan university. The sample of the study were 92 employees who were randomly selected through Morgan Table. Data were collected through four questionnaires: Donal and John’s (2011) narcissism, Gardner and Pierce (2011) qustionnaire for self-esteem, Minesotami ‘s (1995)questionnaire for job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behaviors of Organ (1998).The reliability of all those questionnaires were measured above 0.7 through Cronbach's alpha. The employed methodology was descriptive- correlational and data were analyzed utilizing structural equitation modeling (SEM). The results indicated that all research hypotheses were confirmed.
