Most of them are resistant to the salt and all of them are native species.5 species of this family have been identified already in Iran. At present the numbers of them are 13 species in our country. Due to the size, shape, colour and design of bars and spots on the body, they are suitable to introduce as as ornamental fishes to keep them in the aquarium.
