Vindicating Nasir al-Din al-Tusi from Having Role in Overthrown of Abbasid Caliphate and Murdering the last Abbasid Caliph

Abstract:
Moguls invasion to the Islamic lands, especially to the center of the Islamic Caliphate, Baghdad, had huge consequences such as Bagdads fall, the extinction of Abbasid, lots of murders and massive destruction in geographical territory of their invasion. Decade later after the establishment of the invaders, Ibn Taymiyyah without considering the historical evidence had accused the Shiites and Nasir al-Din al-Tusi of colluding with Hulagu Khan. His students then pursued these accusations in their religious, translated, historical and even ethical books. This articles aim is to report these accusations and disapprove them based on the oldest documents and other documents in later periods to the present time with analyzing them. We try to consider the ideas of the notables in each period, no matter they were against the case or for it. But first, we draw the readers attention to the typology of their viewpoints
