Quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test. For this purpose by using convenience sampling method, were selected 30 children with behavioral problems and their parent that had been referred for receive service to services psychology and counseling center. The experimental group participated in a training program, but the control group received no training. In general, this program was conducted in 17 sessions. Sessions as the training program of cognitive-behavioral approach were respectively 3 Session of parents all together (without children), 6 Session group for mothers, 7 Session Individual play therapy for children and finally one Session for each family and a child. The results showed that Family-based interventions had a positive effect on the clinical symptoms of children with oppositional defiant disorder.
