The effect of perceived quality of sport tourism destinations on satisfaction and intention for revisiting

Abstract:
Tourism and sport are attractive phenomena that their placement together can lead to significant synergies in both domains. The purpose of the current study was to find the relationships among variables of Perceived quality, Satisfaction and Intention for revisiting sport tourism places by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study was a survey-descriptive and a practical one according to research purpose. Research population was sport tourists who have visited Noshahr as a sport tourism destination in 1391. A sample (n=310) of sport tourists was selected through available sampling. The reliability of questionnaire was found to be 0.87 according to Choronbach’s alpha and the validity of questionnaire was verified by using point of views of experts of sport management and marketing management. AMOS18 and SPSS18 were used for data analysis. The model validity and the relationships among research variables were verified by using structural equation modeling. According to research findings, tourist's perception of sport tourism destination has influenced their satisfaction, and this issue has positively influenced their intention for revisiting the tourism destination. The findings of this study can lead to a better understanding of behavioral mechanisms that can help provide reliable principles for maintaining and developing the revisiting of a tourism destination.
