A Study of the Relationship between Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction

Abstract:
The aim of the present study is using Meta-analysis for analyzing the results of studies about the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction. For this purpose, 14 done research (from 22 research) between the years of 1380-96 about the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction which have been published in scientific journals, were selected to assess. In the first step of the research assessment, assumptions of homogeneity and publication bias were examined: according to this, results indicate the heterogeneity of effect sizes and lack of publication bias of examined Studies. In the second step, Coefficient of effect size and moderating role of academic environment variable were evaluated by using the second version of the CMA software. The Obtained results showed that the effect size or impact of organizational culture on the job satisfaction is equivalent to 0/542. This coefficient is evaluated at upper level based on Cohen interpretation system. In terms of moderator variable in organizational environment, findings show that the effect size in the academic and non-academic environment is 0.587 and 0.491 respectively. It was found that organizational culture in the academic environments has a higher impact on job satisfaction than the non-academic environment does.
