Tripartite Approach in the Conduct of Social Security Organization

Development process is generally confronted with various challenges such as class conflict, contradictions, insecurities, uncertainties and various kinds of socio economic abnormalities. Efforts were made to smoothen development removing socio economic abnormalities and changing them into development oriented courses of actionby converting contradictions into cooperation. Following historical development of advanced countries, underdeveloped economies tried to imitate rules and regulations adopted by developed countries to increase the standard of living of their population. International organizations such as International labor office and International Social Security Cooperation also have declared their commitment to social security and obliged their members to follow suit. International Labor Office in its Philadelphia meeting in 1944 declared its commitment to social security regarding it as an essential requirement for sustainable peace and emphasized on the point that .social security has no substitute for social Justus For this purpose ILO has made many efforts such as protocol 102 to bind over its members to a tripartite committee comprising of representatives of employees, employers and government for the management bearing all responsibilities for decision takings and policy making of social security organizations. In this paper we try to review Iran s experience in conducting tripartite managements of social security organization over the last six decades.
