A Document and Content Analysis of "Sharia,Tariqa and Truth" Hadith
Author(s):
Abstract:
Recognition of religious resources for obtaining a correct religious view requires special attention. In this regard, the proper understanding of the prophetic speech after the Holy Qur'an understanding is of particular importance. Some of the interpretations are narrated from the Prophet (pbuh) , while the issuance of them is in a halo of ambiguity. One of them is the phrase " Sharia is my saying, Tariqa is my actions and Truth is my Status. ”, which is known among Hadith scholars and mystics after Seyyad Haider Amoli, the mystic of the eighth century. By examining the narrative document and analyzing its contents along with the historical course of the hadith in mystical works, we find that this is an interpretation of the mystics, not of the prophet of Islam (pbuh). Also, Aziz al-Din Nasafi, for the first time has introduced this quotation from the Prophet (pbuh). After him, Seyyed Haidar Amoli attributed this quotation to the Prophet (pbuh) and has been widely mentioned it in his works. While the terms of Shari'a, Tariqa and truth have become popular among Muslims centuries after the death of the great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH& HP).
