Author(s):
Abstract:
The present article studies the military purchases and the role of US advisers during the 2nd Shah of Pahlavids (1941-1979) with a historical-narrative approach. After WWII and the gradual decline of USSR and UK, there was a better space prepared for the USA to have more dominance on the world and thus Iran observed more expanded presence of US military advisers in her soil. Consequently, Iran’s dependence on the USA increased in many fields, including maintenance of the purchased warfare, permanent monitoring on the projects and programs of ministries and other institutes. During the Pahlavids reign, US advisers had direct effect on political, cultural, social, economic and military decisions and in this way the interests of involving powers were achieved.
