The Effect of Psychological Capital on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Mediating Role of Occupational Well-being and Moderating Rrole of Job Spiritual Intelligence

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of psychological capital on organizational citizenship behavior with mediating role of occupational well-being and moderating role of job spiritual intelligence in employees. The participants consisted of 222 employees of Lorestan Province Gas Company that were selected by multiple stages random sampling method. Fitness of proposed model, indirect effect and moderator effect was examined through structural equation modeling, bootstrap procedure and moderated hierarchical regression. The instruments in this study included Psychological Capital Questionnaire of Luthans, Avolio, Avey, & Norman (1991), Job Performance Questionnaire of Williams & Anderson (1991), Occupational Well-Being Scale of Hinkin (1998) and Spiritual Intelligence at Work of Neal (2004). Findings indicated that compliance and proposed model fit with actual data. In confirmed model, results also indicated that psychological capital directly and with mediating role of occupational well-being had impact on organizational citizenship behavior. Findings also indicated that job spiritual intelligence has moderated relationship between psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. According to obtained results, it is suggested that in order to promote organizational citizenship behavior, organizations provide conditions for increasing of psychological capital, job spiritual intelligence and occupational well-being.
