Geopolitical analysis of the opportunities and challenges of convergence in the West Asia region

Convergence is a process in which many countries are voluntarily persuaded to move their activities towards a new center for achieving common goals in the context of transnational power. Despite common interests in the areas of religion, economics, culture, and society in Among the countries of the Western Asia region, this region still lacks a regional organization. This article, by descriptive-analytical method and with emphasis on geopolitical factors affecting the formation or non-formation of regional organizations, attempts to analyze the factors affecting the convergence and divergence of West Asian countries. The results showed that due to numerous geopolitical challenges and conflicts in areas such as: the existence of homogeneous powers in this region, religious and ideological conflicts, hydropolytic crises, territorial differences, differences in the level of development of countries and the crisis of narcotics, the formation of regional organization in West Asia In the short and medium horizons, there is a problem.
