Abstract:
Background and objectives

 Awareness of citizenship rights for women can provide a sense of belonging and more effective participation in society. The community-based police can also work with service providing approach for citizens to absorb the citizens' participation to achieve citizenship rights. This article studies the social factors affecting the awareness of citizenship rights among women living in Shar-e Rey City.

Methodology

 In terms of its objectives this study is of an applied research type and in terms of procedure, it is considered as a survey study. The population of the study consisted of women over the age of 20 years old in Shahr-e Rey and a sample of 384 individuals was questioned. The data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire (Cronbach's alpha = 0.71 to 0.87 for different variables) and analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient.Findings and

results

 The research showed that "attitudes towards globalization", "social capital", "communication and information tools and media" and "socio-economic base" have the most impact on awareness of citizenship rights. The results of regression test also showed that all of these variables in the standpoint of independent variable have explained 62% of the amount of changes in dependent variable.
