Sustainable Income Sources for Municipalities in Iran

Abstract:
Although the creation of cities and the emergence of urbanization has a long history in Iran, but the history of the city administration is based on the establishment of Baldia in 1286 (AH). With the increase in population, especially urban populations, due to the expansion of village-to-city migration, it has clearly affected population growth in cities. This increase in population has increased the problems for the city and municipalities of the country.  Therefore, in order to meet the needs and solve urban problems, the provision of various services in the area of ​​municipal functions. Since the good offices of cities and the provision of appropriate services and the implementation of urban projects require sufficient funds and costs, so the municipalities must have adequate financial resources, especially sustainable incomes, to fulfill their duties. In order to be able to resolve urban problems. Therefore, this paper examines the revenues of the municipalities of Iran and provides solutions for financing of financial resources and, in particular, sustainable sources of income.
